We offer three ranges of Woven geotextiles; SG standard range, HF High Flow range & HS High Strength Range.

Woven fabrics have an essentially rectilinear construction. On a loom, the warp tapes are laid down the length of the machine in a fixed number and the wefts are inserted by a shuttle on a fixed number per cm.

SG Range of Woven Geotextiles
This range is used primarily in a separation function to prevent good quality granular fill intermixing with the underlying lower quality soil. The materials offer a good mechanical resistance to damage caused during either installation and/or subsequent trafficking. The softer the underlying soil, the higher (stronger) the grade of geotextile you must use. In this latter area, the geotextile then performs both a separation and reinforcement function. Typical uses where a geotextile separation layer might be employed include new highways, car parks, airport runways, under stone foundation layers to new buildings, and so on.

Fastrack Geotextile
Fastrack is our woven alternative to Terram 1000 (Multitrack). Fastrack is a cheaper and often more viable alternative, which is both stronger & lighter. Fastrack has a permeability rate of 16.9 l/m 2 /sec which is suitable for most applications, however woven products inherently have a larger pore size making them less suited to erosion control. Typical applications include; granular separation, roads, car parks & paving.

HF High Flow Range of Woven Geotextiles
Made from a combination of monofilament and/or multifilament tapes and yarns, the Highflow range of products are used where (as their name suggests) it is required that any excess of water escape quickly. Typical uses include erosion control applications, e.g. under concrete revetment blocks or between dissimilar layers of quick-draining granular fill, e.g. a coarse sand and a 20mm rounded gravel.

HS High Strength Range of Woven Geotextiles
This range is the exception to the norm, in that these products are manufactured from woven polyester yarns. Due to its strength, low extension and excellent creep characteristics, the HS range is aimed solely at the reinforcement market. Typical product applications may include use in the construction of vertical walls, steep slopes and embankments over soft soil with a long-term life expectancy.
