Wrekin Products moves to new premises

Wrekin Products has moved its head office to 90,000 sq ft premises in Lichfield as part of its expansion programme that’s seen a 50 per cent growth in turnover in the past three years.

“This move is the next step for us in our growth plans. The launch of Multi-grate has been well received and there are more new products coming soon. We are also giving greater support for customers. We’ve already developed a guide to steel access covers and a new geogrid comparison chart available for merchants to quickly select products.”
Simon Turner, Sales Director
The company, which began business 22 years ago, produces intelligent products for civil engineering distributed through builders’ merchants. The new premises includes space to hold more stock and to continue expanding the product range.

Wrekin Products’ latest product Multi-Grate, the instant temporary fix for gully grate theft, has already been launched this year. The rapidly growing geosynthetics side is supported with the extra expertise of Eddie Emblen in the new role of National Geosynthetics Manager. And there are new innovative products to be added over the next few months.

All 35 of the Wrekin Products’ team has made the move from Burton to Lichfield and the company has already taken on three additional employees as a result of the expansion.

The central location of the head office makes it ideal for distribution to merchants. There are also on-site training facilities for team members and customers to use.
