Firstly that the requirement to replace was accelerating but of greater concern was the number of instances that called for recently replaced covers to be replaced for a second time and even a third.

  • Willen Hospice Car Park Extension

    The existing car park at Willen Hospice, near Milton Keynes, in Buckinghamshire provided insufficient car parking spaces for family and friends to visit their loved ones receiving care at the hospice.

  • Whittington Rifle Ranges

    The existing stop butts at Whittington Ranges had not been used for many years and had fallen into a state of disrepair. Our client was tasked with reinstating the stop butts and bringing them up to current safety standards so that the range could be re-opened for use by the armed forces.

  • Warner Brothers Studio

    Originally the site at Leavesden was a second world war airfield and aircraft production base for the Mosquito fighter and Halifax bomber. After the war, Rolls-Royce acquired the site for producing aeroplane and helicopter engines. When they left in the early 1990s the site became a film studio, and in 1994 the James Bond film GoldenEye was filmed there.

    Waddesdon Manor in the heart of Buckinghamshire was built in 1874 by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in the Neo-Renaissance style of a French château. In 1957 it was bequeathed by James de Rothschild to the National Trust who manage it on behalf of The Rothschild Foundation.

The new £39.5M state-of-the-art facility will have 154 beds and will replace wards currently used on two separate hospitals in Blackpool and Lytham.

    Wrekin were approached by Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Limited, and Atkins to advise on a suitable geotextile to go beneath rock armour as a heavy duty separation and filtration layer. The geotextile would form part of the necessary repair work to Network Rail Wales’ embankment at Old Colwyn, Conwy.

    The Kinema in the Woods is a cinema in the village of Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, England. Dating back to 1922, this beautiful woodland setting is a protected conservation area.

    Wrekin Products was invited to assist with creating a new access road and car park in the sensitive area in which the cinema is located and which is surrounded by hundreds of trees protected by Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs).

    Wrekin Geosynthetics were approached by Stow Farm Stud to provide geosynthetic separation and filtration solutions for a high intensity Horse menage.

    The scope included the construction of a 60 x 30m manége with a 150mm deep drainage layer and a 150mm deep top dressed equisand surface.
