Full waterway performanceUnlike systems with permanent restrictions, Armadillo Silt Shield only limits the gully opening while the locator plate and silt bucket are in-situ. Once the system is removed, your gully grating will return to its full operational performance. This is a significant benefit over competing system which remain in place for the entire duration of the gratings service life, reducing waterway performance and clear opening dimensions, which could be an issue for any future maintenance. 
How does it work?1. Filter bag - The filter bag is made of lightweight yet strong geotextile fabric, designed to capture debris at the source as it enters the grating. It allows water to filter through the bag and into the drainage system while retaining silt and debris. These filter bags are reusable, easy to replace when needed, and come with replaceable options for convenience. 2. Safe handling - Lifting is made easy with the silt buckets’ integrated keyways, allowing lifts to be handled without the need for bending or kneeling. Additionally, lifting keys of varying lengths can be used to suit different needs. 3. Retrofittable - Armadillo Silt Shield is completely retrofittable, allowing you to remove the bucket from the locator plate, unhook the frame, and move it to a new location for protection where it’s needed most. There is no need to install anything beneath the frame, and the process is simple enough for unskilled operation, resulting in significant time and cost savings.
