Guide to installation - H2GO™ Combines Kerb & Drainage and Gully Chute Connector Assembly

Wrekin’s H2GO BS7903 & BSEN124 D400 combined kerb and drainage unit is intended for site fitment onto a standard Wrekin Gully Chute Connector unit flush within a run of BS EN1340 half batter kerbs or kerb drainage units, themselves installed in a Group 3 traffic location.

By utilising this combination, the H2GO unit assembly benefits from robust and coherent support of its frame flange by the Gully Chute Connector, thereby maximising the installation life expectancy.

Water evacuation through this combined apparatus from the frontal road or pavement catchment apertures can be provided by attachment of the Gully Chute Connector’s rear 150/160mm O/D. pipe spigot*, to a suitable drainage system. 

All that is required to connect the two units together is an intermediate layer of UniPak bedding mortar, which can also act as H2GO level adjustment material.

*The spigot can accommodate either of the two pipe sizes and can be site-cut to length for drainage system adjustment purposes. The Spigot is 124mm long, comprising of;  62mm of 160mm O/D plus 62mm of 150mm O/D pipe.

For site adjustment of the assembly to accommodate adopted kerb thickness, the flanges of both the H2GO and Gully Chute Connector contain cutting markings to act as guides site cutting using conventional tooling (for cast irons).

A. The half-batter profile is compatible with similarly profiled kerbs complying with BS EN 1340.

B. A dedicated cover key is used to lock and unlock the stainless steel locking bolt and open the cover.

C. Adjustable front road retaining bar to reduce road debris entering the unit during installation.

D. The Gully Chute Connector itself should be fully supported underneath with mass concrete of the same grade used to bed the adjoining kerb.

E. The H2GO™ Kerb Unit is intended to be located on our Gully Chute Connector with a layer of UniPak bedding mortar under and over the H2GO flange.

F. Kerb Unit flanges may require some site-cutting to facilitate kerb abutments and there are markings on the flanges.

G. The H2GO™ and Gully Chute Connector units allow site-cutting adjustment of their flanges to accommodate kerb abutments.
