Job purpose

We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales Representative to join our dynamic Sales team. You’ll be responsible for handling direct-to-site enquiries, ensuring accurate data management, and delivering an exceptional service that encourages repeat business. With a focus on building long-term customer relationships, your efforts will directly contribute to growth and profitability.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Respond professionally and promptly to incoming telephone and email sales enquiries
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customers
  • Manage quotations from creation to follow-up, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Support marketing efforts by actively promoting products and campaigns
  • Advise customers on product selection, or escalate to technical support where appropriate
  • Maintain detailed customer records using CRM and collaborate across departments
  • Attend trade shows, events, and meetings to represent the Wrekin brand
  • Collaborate with specialist teams to transition merchant leads and share market intelligence

About you

  • Proven experience in sales or customer service, ideally in a B2B environment
  • Previous experience in the Construction products sector, Civils sector or Builders merchant would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using CRM systems and sales/order tracking tools
  • A team player who supports collective goals and shared success
  • Able to handle multiple enquiries and prioritise tasks under pressure
  • Self-motivated and keen to learn new product and industry knowledge
  • Comfortable engaging with clients by phone, email, and in person
  • Ability to analyse customer needs and recommend relevant solutions
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • A proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and service development
