We are pleased to announce having achieved our best ever levels in the Achilles Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB), scoring 100% in all three categories.
The UVDB is a list of organisations that have been independently assessed by Achilles in terms of Health & Safety, Environment and Quality.
Utility companies such as long-term customer Thames Water use the database to manage risk within their supply chain and to ensure that they are using suppliers which comply with EU regulations and legislation.
Launched in 1996, Achilles UVDB is managed by a Steering Group, consisting of utility buyers, to drive industry best practice.
To satisfy the comprehensive requirements of the scheme, Wrekin’s Sales, Finance and Operations team members researched, collated and submitted all the information needed for the audit.
Details of health and safety policies and practices, quality control system, information about products and services, financial and insurance data as well as the company training matrix and an explanation of its toolbox talks were all submitted.
100% across the board
Wrekin has always scored well in the assessment, but this is the first time it has been awarded 100% across the board.
The scores have been uploaded onto the database for all buyers to see and Wrekin has been presented with a certificate as verification.
