The latest in a series of in-house training sessions open to all Wrekin Products staff saw Technical Manager Barry Turner demonstrate manhole cover installation in the outdoor product show area at our premises in Lichfield.
The key features of our manhole covers and gully grates and the benefits they provide to civil engineers and road users – lorry drivers, car drivers and cyclists included – were explained to the attendees.
Sales Director Simon Turner said: “The demonstration allowed our staff to understand why we have engineered and patented performance-enhancing product features and how and why they perform better in carriageway than others.
“Major national and regional contractors recognise that the current European standard is inadequate and allow poorer performing designs into the market, Wrekin fully understands the failure mechanisms and has engineered its products to meet and exceed their higher performance expectations.”
A demonstration of what needs to be considered – and why – when manhole covers are installed was also given.
Afterwards staff said that the demonstration had increased their appreciation of how good Wrekin Products’ covers are, particularly when compared to others, which they were also shown.
In recent weeks three in-house presentations have been organised for staff to keep them up to date with products, to describe the details of specific features and to explain what attracts our high-profile customers to us.
