Wrekin Products is proud to be associated with the Trees and Design Action Group (TDAG) and is pleased to announce that the company is now a corporate sponsor of this unique organisation.
TDAG brings together a pioneering group of individuals, professionals and organisations from wide ranging disciplines in both the public and private sectors to increase awareness of the role of trees in the built environment.
The group shares the collective vision that the location of trees, and all the benefits they bring, can be secured for future generations through better collaboration in the planning, design, construction and management of our urban infrastructure and spaces.
Established in 2007 as a not-for-profit and apolitical collaborative forum, TDAG incorporated as a charitable trust in 2013. Its membership, online publications and information are free. This approach enables TDAG to assimilate ideas and knowledge independently of organisational hierarchy, profit or commercial interests.
Wrekin’s resident tree products expert Roy Partington has been a long-standing supporter and contributor to TDAG as well as to other arboriculture and forestry organisations. He regularly presents at conferences and attends exhibitions and trade shows.
Sponsorship of TDAG by Wrekin Products and other businesses enables the organisation to undertake tasks including developing its knowledge exchange network; liaising with and supporting other organisations to further activities which contribute to TDAG’s goals and partnering with and disseminating research projects.
Commenting, Roy Partington said: “It is very satisfying to support TDAG. We value its great research projects and the work it does to educate us on the importance of the preserving and protecting our existing tree stock as well as encouraging the introduction of more trees in our urban and rural communities.”
