2024 - Taking Sales to New Heights!

If stacked on top of one another, we have sold enough access covers in 2024 to reach the top of Mt Everest – twice!

We're also proud to reveal that sales of our top 100 ironwork products would reach 16,679 metres tall, roughly two times the size of Mt Everest, which reaches to 8,848 metres. For comparison, the tower would roughly be equivalent to 20 Burj Khalifas and would reach a sixth of the way to space.

It’s been a tremendously busy year for us, with new initiatives launched, as well as multiple key new appointments made within our expanding team. Additionally, we were a founding member of Civitec group earlier this year with our sister company Geoworks, as well as Product Industriels Lorrains (P.I.L), Fonderies de Saint Dizier (FSD) and Encotel.

Other impressive statistics revealed our six person warehouse team in Lichfield moved 19 tonnes of product per person per day on average, with only a 0.48% margin of error. Similarly, the sales team has spent more than 45 collective days on the phone this year.

The height of all of our top 100 ironwork sales stacked reached 16,679m

This year may have been our busiest yet with the number of ongoing leads, projects, and business initiatives we’ve been overseeing and progressing.

Sales Director, Wrekin Products Ltd.

Our Sales Director, Ricky Hasprey said: “This year may have been our busiest yet with the number of ongoing leads, projects, and business initiatives we’ve been overseeing and progressing.

“As well as providing our customers with the same unmatched quality of iron and steel work across the UK in projects and places of all shapes and sizes, we’ve also been working on some incredible initiatives behind the scenes which we’ll be sharing more on throughout 2025.

“Among these which we can talk about is our drive toward sustainability and ecological consciousness. As well as launching our ‘The Sea Starts Here’ campaign with Barratt Homes to raise awareness on improving the quality of our waterways,.

“Throughout 2025, we’ll be looking to expand this idea of conscientiousness and corporate responsibility further, combining it with our established reputation of quality that lasts.”

Our Commercial Director, Simon Turner, said: “As a leader in the civil engineering field, we always strive to remain not just at the fore of new technologies and innovations, but at the very front of attitudes, issues, and change. I’m immensely proud of the output the Wrekin Products team has achieved this year through their hard work and dedication. It’s a privilege to be at the head of such a team, and I’m looking forward to seeing where our efforts will take us in 2025.”

Promoting responsibility with Britain's waterways

The Sea Starts Here

We're promoting awareness of a simple but important issue on our most popular Tristar D400 gully gratings. Did you know that waste disposed of down gullies, whether at a roadside or pedestrianised area, can end up in the watercourse. This includes rivers, brooks, becks, ditches, leats and culverts. Ultimately, it has the potential to reach the sea, meaning the sea often really does start here.

In collaboration with a long-standing house building client, we've taken the notable step to include "The Sea Starts Here" as a message on our highest selling Tristar gully gratings. The message serves as a poignant reminder that our actions on land reverberate to our oceans.

I’m immensely proud of the output the Wrekin Products team has achieved this year through their hard work and dedication.
