Our ultra-durable Force D400 round and square-to-round manhole covers are designed with the same principles of our premium Unite range of ironwork, which has an unrivalled pedigree of 20 years’ service – with no reported failures. The unique hinge utilises has been developed with a mechanism to block dirt and debris from entering the hinge, to ensuring a smooth opening every time. This removes what can often cause a major headache for contractors. The textured surfaces at the top and bottom of the frame limit the potential for movement and increase the bond with the bedding mortar. The flanges spread the load across the mortar and chamber and into the substructure. The heavy duty frame stiffeners then prevent them from flexing. As well as the optional security lock, this product comes with a string of other options, including ventilation holes, badging, a safety grille and enhanced anti-slip coating.
