Tree Officers and arboricultural consultants from around the British Isles and the Channel Isles gather this week for the 2018 National Tree Officers Conference in Telford.
Hosted by the London Tree Officers Association, Municipal Tree Officers Association, and the Institute of Chartered Foresters, the event will focus on issues facing tree officers and how they can deal with them.
The value of trees in our society is constantly stressed – reports published by the World Economic Forum recently show that people living close to trees and green spaces are less likely to be obese, inactive, or dependent on anti-depressants.
This is a point often made by Roy Partington, Divisional Director, Geosynthetics at Wrekin Products Ltd.
Roy has over 20 years’ experience in providing solutions for ground engineering applications and was a member of the team that developed the first 3D geocell for use in tree root protection in the 1990s. This ultimately has been instrumental in planning officials approving thousands of new developments in areas occupied by mature TPO trees.
Wrekin Products is sponsoring the National Tree Officers Conference and Roy, together with Wrekin’s Geosynthetics Manager Laura Perret, will be in attendance.
They will be answering questions and explaining how Wrekin’s tree root protection and tree root development products can help planners, developers and tree professionals to incorporate and care for trees in all kinds of environments.
If you miss Wrekin at the conference Roy is happy to answer questions and help provide geosynthetic solutions at any time. He is also available to deliver a seminar on landscaping solutions focusing on tree root development and tree root protection as well as turf reinforcement and grass protection.
